    Large exposed metabasalt outcrop and cliff talus, with hardwoods (Quercus rubra dominant, Betula alleghaniensis, B. lenta, Carya), scattered Abies balsamea, Ilex montana-Acer pensylvanicum-Hamamelis understory and occasional thickets of Kalmia-Vaccinium-and stunted Q. rubra. on rock in overhang.
