Creeping, stoloniferous, hairy at nodes. Flowering stems ascending up to 60 or more
cm. tall. Leaf blades linear, acuminate, somewhat hairy especially along margins. Flowers
commonly in divaricately two-branched, spike-like racemes, spikelets 2-rowed, ovate,
ciliated, imbricated.
A common weed in plantations, along roadsides and in waste areas (KXFtf^&ented to DPU Herbar
