  • Description

    Stems several, radially spreading and reclining towards base, and dry bract or rather sheath covered, ultimately strictly erect; leaves ascending, soft, membranous, more or less twisting and curved upon the upper side, the margins of the old blades reddish or purplish tinged, the green sheaths also reddish toward base; rachis dark green, the divaricate spikelets pale or yellowish green, the setae purplish brown, 'Bangat' in Manobo.
