above Spirit Lake headed to the treeline, along trail to
Jessen Lake, approx. 150 m from junction to Tamarack
Lake.

Elev: 3139 - 3170m. (10300 - 10400 ft.)
Wet meadow with numerous rivulets; edged by Subalpine
Fir and Englemann Spruce; in shade under conifers among
a boulder field.
Frequent understory shrub in drier spots; to 1.5 m tall
