Free-floating aquatic herb. Locally
abundant. Growing in the Typha
dominated areas next to the pond.
Habitat: a pond, with an area of ca.
7 hectares. Dominated by
Potamogeton illinoensis and P. gayii.
pH: 7.1-7.7 Adjacent areas contain
a marsh dominated by Typha
domingensis and Cyperus papyrus.
