Description
Flowers cream color. Shrub about 4 ft tall. Several large (up to 10 ft tall) individuals of this species that produce fruits in great numbers, the fruits red, tart, and juicy and relished by various birds. Numerous younger plants are found in the nursery and in adjacent woods, presumably from bird-disseminated seeds. The seeds germinate freely following cold stratification for 3 months.
