  • Description

    A soft acquatic grass; stems creeping and taking roots at the nodes toward the base, otherwise erect, somewhat flattened, sparingly branched; sheaths smooth, well separated; blades strictly ascending, half folded on the upper side, similarly green on both sides; inflorescence whip-lash like, ascendingly recurved, green, the spikes arranged along the lower side and more yellowish green; "Barerian".
