Mixed hardwood (Acer saccharum, Carya, Betula lenta, Liriodendron, Q. alba, Quercus prinus, Q. rubra) forest with abundant schistose boulders and Gaylussacia-Lindera understory with abundant Smilax. on large Acer saccharum stump.
