Geum rossii/Carex turf and windswept fellfield. Associated with Oxyria digyna, Potentilla fruticosa, Festuca ovina, Phlox pulvinata, Sedum lanceolatum, Smelowskia calycina and Agropyron scribneri. Uncommon in scree. Quartzite talus.
