x 1 m in diameter; "bark peeling horizontally in
hard, dark 'brown, curled plates; "branchlets up to
80 cm or more long; leaves concave, spirally
arranged in 5-ranked phyllotaxy;<fcones 1-4 to-
gether (immature); Q cones apparently solitary,
‘broadest towards the apex, somewhat constricted
