Large E-facing basalt talus with stands of Kalmia, many large dead Tsuga, and occasional Betula (B. alleghaniensis, B. lenta) surrounded by mature mixed hardwoods (Acer saccharum, Betula, Fraxinus, Tilia, Quercus rubra). on large Betula lenta.
