Habitat
Periodically inundated sprae marl wet praiire (currently dry), recently burned (charred tree and palm trunks present); 'prairie islands' in a matrix of pinus elliottii and Sabal palmetto savanna, Taxodium distichum domes and swamps, and strand swamps and sloughs. With Aristida beyrichiana, Asclepias certicillata, Cladium jamaicense, Eriocaulon spp., Eryngium yuccifolium, Euthamia caroliniana, Heliotropium polyphyllum, Muhlenbergia capillaris, Pinguicula lutea, pinguicula pumila, Phynchospora spp., Sisyrinchium, and Serenoa repens.
