United States of America. California. Fresno Co. 11,878' Silver Peak on Silver Divide, 1 mile northeast of 10,000' Big Margaret Lake (9 map miles north of Mono Hot Springs.) This penstemon near 11,150' saddle in Silver Divide just southeast of Silver Peak.

Habitat
Subalpine forest well developed around the lake and up to ca. 10,400' reduced to Pinus albicaulis alone above that on southwest face of Silver Peak. P. albicaulis reduced to Krumholtz toward top, only in streaks between avalanche chutes on northwest face, absent on east.
