United States of America. California. Fresno Co. In rock crevice on rocky 100' high point immediately west of outlet of 10,700' Bighorn Lake, headwaters of North Fork Mono Creek, 2 miles west of 12,841' Red and White Mountain on Sierran crest.

Habitat
Lake sterile - no Isoetes or other bottom growth. 11,600' ridge to west with Pinus albicaulis Krumholtz between avalanche chutes of upper cliffs - Krumholtz on north and east to 11,500'. Herbaceous perennials on gravelly upper portion of talus.
