Canada. Alberta. Jasper National Park: Just inside Alberta border from British Columbia. On the E-side of the ridge along Hwy 16 bordering the E-side of the lake at the border.

Habitat
On slatey outcrops with some calcareous influence, & NE aspect. Also in adjacent rich fen with scattered Picea mariana & Betula-Salix shrubs. Tomenthypnum nitens-Sphagnum warnstorfii-Campylium stellatum-Drepanocladus revolvens-Lophozia rutheana dominants in the ground layer.
