Herb. 40 cm tall; petals greenish-white. Common.
Use: Used to treat cuts and bums: The whole fresh plant
is ground with 1-2 drops of water to make a paste,
which is applied to the affected area. When used to
heal scars, 1 or 2 fresh leaves, are washed with water
and rubbed on the affected area. Juice exuded from
the leaves turns black. Additionally, either fresh
ground leaf or dried powdered leaf is put in honey
and applied to the scar. Used as a diuretic: The fresh,
whole plant is ground and squeezed to make 100 ml
of juice, which is mixed with a teaspoon of sugar,
the resulting juice is drunk 3 times per day for 3
days.
