Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands: Saipan. On
road to Laulau beach.
Tree ~20m. Leaves, deeply lobed, velcro-like hairs below, glabrous
above, veins lime green. Tree laden with fruit and fallen fruit all over
the ground. Fruit, light green, oblong, 10cm x 7cm. Fruit surface
with flat, protruding polygons making the surface bumpy. Seedless.
Several young saplings growing from parent’s roots were present.
White latex throughout. Local name Lemae.
