Papua New Guinea. Gulf Province: On Kikori River between
Kikori and Kopi. 144° 15’ E, 7° 30’ S.
Tree ~25m hanging over the river. Leaves, 1/2 way lobed to midrib,
velcro-like pubescence above and below. Leaves up to 0.75m in
length. Many fruits growing on the tree. Fruit 20cm x 15cm, oblong,
green, surface with flexuous spiky processes. The beginnings of
immature seeds are forming in the larger fruits.
