Papua New Guinea. Madang Province: Pig Island.
Small uninhabited coral island just off the coast of north of Madang.
Used as a garden and plants are predominantly pandanus, coconut
and breadfruit.
Tree -45 m, dbh ~40cm. Leaves lobed % to % way to midrib, velcro-
like pubescence beneath on young and old leaves. Hundreds of
seedlings growing below the tree. Eleven seedlings were collected
and sent to the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawaii for
propagation. White latex throughout. Local name Kapiak.
