Thin floodplain woods with marshy openings, Acer
saccharinum, Salix nigra, Ulmus americana, Populus
deltoides. Quer cus bicolor. Fraxinus pennsylvanica. With
Rumex verticillatus, Carex lupulina, Iris virginica, Ribes
americanum.
Plants erect, in a patch, from vigorous rhizome system. Just
beginning to bloom; flower pink.
