Cultivated in yard and field.
Herb up to 1 m high. Stems growing in bundles
together, no side branches. Roots tuberous.
Vernacular name: Ginger, Shishimbiri (Ar), Sisimbi(ri)

Use(s): Cramps, cold accompanied with cough, fever,
belly pain after giving birth, to get rid of afterbirth,
heamorrhage, cut.
