Ex NATIONAL HERBARIUM OF VICTORIA (MEL) MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA Hypolepis rugosula Det.: Ohlsen, D.J., 16 Aug. 2017 Coll.: Karunajeewa, N.G. 1530 Date: 13 Mar. 2017 Australia: Victoria Loc.: Yarra Ranges National Park. Junction of Donna Buang Road (to Healesville) with road to summit of Mount Donna Buang. 37° 42' 52.5" S 145° 40' 27.5" E. Alt.: 1155 m. Habitat: Tall open mixed forest of mature eucalypts with understorey of smaller trees (Acacia spp, occasional Nothofagus), shrubs and ferns. Associated taxa: Acacia obliquinervia, Nothofagus cunninghamii, Eucalyptus regnans, Leptospermum grandifolium, Olearia phlogopappa, Senecio linearifolius, Dianella tasmanica, Polyscias sambuccifolius, Acacia frigescens, Polystichum proliferum, Tasmannia lanceolata. Descriptive notes: Rhizomatous fern with erect fronds to 0.8 m tall. Frond stipe and rhachis purplish to reddish brown. Lamina darkish green above, mid green below. Sori pale brown.
