Loc.: Baw Baw National Park. Track c. 300 m west of summit
of Mt St Gwinear.
37° 50' 3.1" S 146° 18' 26.4" E. Alt.: 1486 m.
Habitat: Subalpine heathland bordering Snow Gum
Woodland, densely shrubby.
Associated taxa: Orites lancifolia, Olearia algida.
Descriptive notes: Dense shrub 0.8 m tall x 1.5 m diameter,
branches and inflorescences erect. Leaves dark green,
bases red. Peduncles dark purplish. Flowers pink or creamy
white.
Collecting notes: Scattered here, but becoming dominant
further west of summit in heathland of slopes surrounding
plains and bogs. Material collected from two plants, one
pink-flowered and one white-flowered.
This specimen is a duplicate of MEL 2381618.
