Saguayo. Tropical evergreen forest with Iriartea
exorrhiza, Scheelea princeps, steep slopes on poorly
consolidated reddish Tertiary sandstone and
mudstone, easternmost Andean foothills.
17°35’S, 63°45’W. alt. 375 m.
Small tree 5 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter. Leaves
glaucous beneath. Inflorescence erect,
yellow-green, buds only.
