Silica mine "La Daniela". Dense wet
forest on sloping Hollín sandstone
plateau, being mined for silica sand
for glass manufacture.

Tree 8 m tall, 15 cm DBH. Senescent
leaves turn bright red before falling.
Stems with reddish-brown pubescence.
