Polekwani, Near Chuniespoort: 24° 9.305' S: 29° 28.444'E On gentle southern hill slope of pasture in full sun. In well-drained soil of dolomite sand. Native and common. Savanna, with Jasminum, Acacia, Jatropha, Eragrostis and Terminalia. Perennial geophyte, 10-15 cm high, with woody fibrous tuber. Compound leaves altemae, hairy, with latex, leaf margins entire.
