Shrub, 70-150 cm. Stem more or less thickly crisped hairy.
Leaves small, semicircular to circular, blunt. Bracts short,
fleshy, ovate-triangular. Bracteoles similar, shorter than
flowers, white-flecked. Parianth segments triangular-ovate.
Wings brown. Stigmas broadly ribbon-shaped, brownish
black, with many short papillae.
