Coastal forest on coastal fiats, well-drained soil of tertiary sandbeds. Plantation
ofPinus, with Macaranga, Strelitzia nicolai, Bridelia micrantha, Nephrolepis
bistrata.
A perennial climbing Inn, up to 10 m high in trees, eventually becoming
epiphytic with age. Leaves pinnately compound, up to 1 m long, yellow-green,
leaflets with prominent, pale midveins, 15 x 2-3 cm. Sporofils 60-80 cm long,
bipinnately compound. Sporangia golden brown.
