Cleared grassy area between road and forest before trail
opening. Herb ca. 7 cm tall located in small patch of
approx. a dozen individuals. Calyx same color as fruit.
Outer portion of banner blood red and canary yellow; wings
and inner banner canary yellow, with some red and brown;
keel pale yellow-green. Fruit grass green transitioning to
deep brown, almost black beginning at top seam of fruit
with maturity.
