Semi-cleared area between forest and the road before trail
opening. Low-lying, single-stalked shrub ca. 25 cm tall.
Bark orangish-brown. Young fruit reddish-brown; mature
fruit dark brown, almost black. Flowers salmon pink. No
distinct smell.
