montane wet forest, with canopy about 15
m tall. "Fruta del Norte" mining area of
Kinross Aurelian Corp., about 3 km north
of Las Peñas camp.

Common canopy tree to 20 m tall, with
trunk 40 cm DBH. Locally abundant.
Creamy white latex. Corolla pale green
with 4 petals. Stamens cream to pale
greenish-yellow. Tree outside of plot,
not tagged.
