South facing slope of the southern hills of the Sierra Bemeja above Rancho Cabassa. Quebrada and adjacent slopes, and ridge at top of hills. Chert substrate. Xeric graslands (maintained by burning) on exposed slopes with shrubland and woods in ravines. Flowers violet. Altitude: 125-200 m N 17°59'19"; W67°07'11,5" 2000-10-21 R.
