1° 48' 00" S x 9° 54' 00" E, Elevation: 20 to 100 m. Roadside. Growing in standing
water. Near MAB Plot 16.
Herb 1.5 m. White watery sap when cut, stems mixed red and green; peduncles red,
pedicels and ovary green; calyx green, often extensively red mottled, (one flower, with red
lobe edges); outside unopened corolla yellow-green with extensive purple mottling,
becoming back of banner; partially open flower with yellow-orange banner inside, green at
center base; keel greenish white; side petals yellow along side of base of keel up to proximal
