Fabaceae Plants of Africa Desmodium triflorum (L.) DC. Det. Stephen F. Smith (US) 2002 Gabon: Gamba Complex: Rabi; near Ossenge Camp. 1° 56' 00" S x 9° 53' 00" E, Elevation: 20 to 100 m. Open ground. Herb trailing flat on ground; rooting at nodes; calyx green with white hairs; banner white outside, purple inside, dark purple in line on upper midseam and as two spots on either side of bottom of midseam; 2 petals containing keel, dark purple outside, except white at base; inside of 2 petals and keel white, tip of keel red; stamens white protruding less far from keel tip than the light green style and stigma; fruit green.
