The New York Botanical Garden Adoxaceae Viburnum acerìfolium L. Det. R. Cittadini, 2019 United States. New York: Bronx County. Bronx. NYBG, off Azalea Way, going east through Thain Family Forest on Outlook Path, west and above Bronx River, feeing a steep rocky outcrop, north of Stonemill building, south of Outlook bridge. +40°5r36.43, -73°52’36.49. Slope covered in a deep layer of leaf litter, undo- protruding large rocks. Understory Aralia racemosa, V. acerifolium, Eurybia, Solidago, large Kalmia latifolia shrub. Scattered oak saplings. Overstory is black cherry, hemlock beech, maple, oak. Ants on fruit 2 plants, young, sparsely bearing mature fruits of dark blue. Both a foot apart - one slightly further up the slope. Most fruits have dropped or have been eaten. 1 panicle on plant bearing 4-5 fruits. Leaves senescing. 611/2017*C; wild collected, stem, leaf, fruit. Rebecca Cittadini 7 12 SEP 2019 04229247
