New York “Botanical Garden, outside rock garden, old maple collection. Planted on top of hill, across from another Cedrus atlantica. Bank of slope is full of senecio vulgaris, and other (‘weedy’) asters, vemonia sp., Parthenocissus quinquefolia.. Lat: -40.866141 Long: -73.876052 Male cones (collected) on lower branches, upright. About 60 ft tall with a wide spread. Long, strong spidery limbs contorting out from the trunk. Needles form a star-like whorl, silvery blue-green hue.
