No. 8526, collected near Smith Creek, Santa Clara county, elevation 2150 feet, growing in clayey ground along the road- side. The flowers in this plant are pinkish, the spur long and prominent. The sides of the fruit are less pubescent than in the type, otherwise the agreement is perfect.
