Northwest of the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden. North of the pathway loop, west side of pathway, uphill. Coordinates: 40.8602 -73.8741. Plant situated in a cultivated lilac collection. Placed in a mulched bed with mowed turf surrounding it. Surrounded by several other varieties of lilacs. 2m tall by 2.7m wide multi stemmed shrub. At time of collection, plant is past peak bloom. Simple leaves, cordate with entire margins, opposite and decussate. Single flowers, lavender color and fragrant. Bark grey-brown.
