Mi. Eddy in open gravelly places in the forest, elevation 6800
fi-et, the ground moist from recently melted snow. Pseudotsuga
and white fir are the chief trees, with some Pinus monticola, red
fir and an occasional Jeffrey pine. Quercus vaccinifolis is the
common undershrub
