One patch of 7 plants between parking area and Hwy. 35,
recreation area for fishing along the Mississippi River.
Grassy, mostly unshaded area with Cirsium arvense,
Solidago, Urtica dioica, Eupatorium rugosum. This the
plant with the greenest foliage; all plants with dry brown
fruiting heads; seeds readily falling free. Only one other
plant of Dipsacus (this species?) seen along Hwy. 35
between junction with Hwy. 171 and Bridgeport bridge over
Wisconsin River.
