Large tree (6 to 8-inch DBH); on floodplain along
the Savannah River; about 10 feet from bank. Site
#2 (Lat. 34¦03'58"; Long. 82¦3fi,10M), about 0.2
mile south of the S. C. 72 bridge over the Savannah
River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for the
proposed Russell Lake; impoundment of the Savannah
River scheduled for the mid-1980's).
