Mayakka River, along trail near creek. 27¦ 7.6'N: 82¦ 20.1'W
(coordinates from hand-held GPS; accurate to within a radius
of about 50 m)
Upland pine flatwoods with scattered Pinus elliottii and
Quercus virginiana, occasional Sabal palmetto, shrub layer
dominated by Serenoa repens; area periodically burned.
Shrub about 1.5 m tall, almost scandent, branches flexible;
flowers white.
