(by road) S of La Lagunilla.

Patch of forest on slope, with Podocarpus parlatorei, Alnus
acuminata, Cedrela, Oreopanax, Rhamnus.
Shrub 3.5 m. tall, with stem 4 cm. in diameter at base, with
many straight erect flowering stems. Inflorescence lightly
and pleasantly fragrant (3:30 P.M., cloudy bright), the buds
purplish; style branches nearly white when exsert.
