Habitat
Lower edge of sub-páramo. With Libanothamnus, Dodonaea, Solanum, Clusia, and Myrica. Common among boulders in cañada; rare elsewhere.

Description
Shrub to 2.5 m. tall (stems to 2 cm diam. at base; flowers and fruits pendulous; calyx brown maroon; petals, androecium, and styles tangerine. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
