Mixed coniferous forest of Pseudotsuga menziesii, Pinus contorta,
Abies bifolia, & Picea engelmannii. Associated species include
Juniperus communis, Ribes sp., Sorbus scopulinum, Carex geyeri,
& Vaccinium sp. Substrate mostly granitic. Aspect NE.
Slope 50°. Elevation 7200 ft. Plants rare along road cut. Small
compact shrub to ca. 0.5 m tall.
