Sturbridge, along Hwy. 20 (Main Street) between New
Boston Road and Fairground Road.
42 06'46"N, 72 05'09"W alt. 180 m.
Brushy area with small trees, between road and edge of
Cedar Pond, with Betula populifolia, Aronia melanocarpa,
Spiraea albai Elaeagnus umbellata, Ilex verticillata.
Shrub 3.5 m. tall, 7 cm. in diameter. Several naturalized
here in this roadside/edge of brushy areas, a common
habitat for this species in Massachusetts.
