PLANTS OF ALABAMA, U.S.A. Dirca palustris L. Thymelaeaceae Det. S.R.Hill 11/92 TUSCALOOSA County: Shaded, moist, rich organic soil; Rocky Branch area, road to old Lock 14. Rocky Branch Creek, Peterson, Calcareous ledges. Just outside gate to Rocky Branch Park. Few small trees 4’ tall, branches horizontally spreading. Fruit green. Base of ravine ca. 1/3 way to lake.
