Impatiens capensis Meerb,
Delaware County. Approximately 3 miles south-
west of Downsville on NT Rte. 30. Cleared area
between the roadway and the East Branch
Delaware River.
"Touch-me-not". Plant to ca growing pro-
fusely along nearly stagnant backwater of the
river & up a steep bank, taller near the water.
Flowers yellow inside, spotted with rich orange/
red; split lower lip all orange/red. Corolla
spurred. Ripe seeds pop when touched.
