Impatiens capensis Meerb.
NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. Growing in a dense, large
patch. Very prolific. At edge of Phragmites australis swamp in moist
soil. In partial shade. Plants glaucous and succulent. Flowers
yellow/orange. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with
Phragmites australis, Acer rubrum, Alliaria petiolata, Salix, Eurybia
divaricata, Quercus, and Fraxinus nigra.
