Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island Impatiens capensis Meerb. NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. Dominant plant in the immediate area. In a gravelly stream/ wash bed, now dry, though soil still moist; partially shaded. Approx. 1.2-1.37 m tall; foliage glaucous blue; flowers light orange.
